My commitment to creating a great camp experience

(Counselors (or parents) please read carefully with your campers and all sign at bottom.)

TALL TIMBER is a place to have FUN, learn about GOD, and make FRIENDS. Everybody knows that to have a friend, you need to be a friend. This is what Jesus meant in Matthew 7 when He said :Do for others what you would like them to do for you.
So we need your help in making this a great week at camp. This means helping others to:

*Try new things, with being afraid of being teased or made fun of
*Make new friends with their fellow campers and counselors
*Enjoy God’s creation, and learn more about being a Christian

Here are some guidelines to help you make good choices. These are ways we expect you to behave while you are here at camp:

SAFETY

- I will not leave the camp boundaries unless I am with a counselor, or it is approved
- I will show up on time to all scheduled activities
- I will follow all camp safety rules (like wearing bike helmets etc.)
- I will follow all health rules (like wearing shoes in the dining room etc.)
- I will obey the staff’s instructions for games and activities

RESPECT FOR OTHERS

- I will respect others who are different from me (in looks, ability, background etc)
- I will not go into the opposite sex’s cabins, and will respect their privacy
- I will not take or use someone else’s stuff without their permission
- I will not pull pranks on people. I understand this can hurt feelings and cause damage.
- I will not mess up this beautiful place by: littering, graffiti, vandalism, or hurting wildlife

WHOLESOME ENVIRONMENT

- I will not swear, tell dirty jokes or say degrading things about others
- I will not bring anything that is illegal for me to have, and will tell my counselor if I see anyone with these things (like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, weapons, pornography etc. )
- I will not use other items I have been asked to leave at home, which can distract from camp (like tape/CD players, video games, snacks etc.)
- I will not try to involve anyone else in breaking rules or getting in trouble

____________________________________________________________________________
I understand all of these guidelines and agree to follow each one. I understand that if I choose not to follow them, I choose the consequences, which could range from leaving an activity, to having to go home. I understand my parents will not receive a refund if I am sent home after counselors and others try to help me. I promise to do my best to make camp great for everyone.
