Moses was raised in Africa, and returned after his undergraduate studies to serve his people, the Massai of Kenya and Tanzania. He has worked with small businesses, as well as with many non-profit organizations serving children and orphans. He also served World Vision as a church-relations consultant for two years. His love for his people is evident, and his commitment to the global Christian movement is so valuable. Even in the academic field Moses is encouraging Christians to think globally, and responsibly. He worked with Clayton Schmit of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts at Fuller Theological Seminary on a global-preaching initiative, and book addressing global preaching.
Moses eventually returned to the States and completed a Masters of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary and is now a Ph. D. Candidate at Fuller. At Whitworth he teaches courses on The Bible and Missions, The Acts of the Apostles, and serves as a member of the CORE 350 (capstone general education course) teaching team.
This summer at Family Camp, Moses will be speaking about fear, and the Lord’s message to “Fear not!” This phrase is uttered about 350 times in the Bible, and it is a message that stands in stark contrast to the way many of us live day to day. Fear grips us; at work, in our relationships with our families, and even in our relationship with Christ. Moses will share with us Christ’s assurance that we have nothing to fear, and that all the tools we need to live bold lives for Christ are provided through the life that Jesus offers. |
