The death of John the Baptist was a blow to Jesus and his disciples. Jesus gathered his disciples together and said to them, “Come away to a deserted place and rest a while.” There are times when we need to get away to a lonely place and rest and be renewed. The Presbytery is sponsoring a Pastor’s Retreat for those in the Presbytery who are providing pastoral services. This will take place from Tuesday September 12th to Thursday September 14th at Tall Timber. The facilitating team will be Joseph Roy PhD, and his wife Merry. Joseph is a Pastoral Counselor and Spiritual Director; Merry is an educator, and they are both retired. Their focus will be developing and reinforcing skills and practices that can feed one's spirit and help keep a cutting edge to ministry. The cost is $110, and will begin on Tuesday September 12th, concluding on Thursday September 14th. The retreat will begin with the 6PM dinner on Tuesday, and conclude with the 12:00 Lunch on Thursday. Plan on arriving no later than 5:00 PM so you can be settled in before the evening meal. More specific information will be available to registrants as we get nearer the date of the retreat.
