junior high adventure
This afternoon the adventurers returned after spending two nights offsite for rock climbing, rafting, horseback riding or canoeing. After grabbing a bite of lunch cabins worked to write skits they would go on to perform that afternoon before participating in a camp-wide scavenger hunt. As if that wasn't enough excitement kids ate outside on the lodge porch, feasting on another excellent luau courtesy of the kitchen staff. After food things calmed down for experiential worship and a final message from the speaker.
So much to do, so little time! With two full nights of offsite adventure ahead of them, campers spent today cramming in as many activities as possible. In the heat of the day campers took to the waterslide, zipline, giant swing and archery range. This evening, campers were able to catch a movie in the Napeequa Room before settling in around the campfire for a message from this week's speaker.
Campers arrived for Tall Timber's first youth camp of the season, eager to make some friends and have fun in the process. After registration kids got a tour around camp and a chance to meet other campers through some goofy games program put together. Later on after some eating, some singing and some laughter everyone settled down for the first message from our speaker for the week.
