I understand that volunteers typically benefit from their service by being provided a place to stay in Cedar House and enjoying meals provided to guest groups; I understand that I need to communicate with Tall Timber Leadership in advance of each volunteer date to confirm the availability of a place to stay and any food I may need to bring for my own sustenance. I understand that there is no financial benefit to volunteering and that I am not a paid employee, consultant, or independent contractor. I understand that participating in volunteer activities is potentially hazardous, and that I should not participate unless I am physically, mentally, and emotionally able and properly trained. I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am traveling to or from the camp or during activities. I waive, release, and discharge Tall Timber Ranch and its representatives of all liability, claim, action, or damage that may arise including that which is caused by negligence or action/inaction of Tall Timber Ranch representatives. I authorize Tall Timber Ranch representatives and/or other medical personnel to obtain or provide routine or emergency medical care for me, to transport me to a medical facility, and to provide treatment they consider necessary for my health if I am unable to advocate for myself. I agree to pay all costs associated with this care and transportation. If and when I interact with other volunteers, staff, guests, members of the Presbytery, and communities across Washington, I pledge to follow these guidelines as it relates to Tall Timber and all of the other members of the Tall Timber community: assume others have the best intentions, speak positively about others and the camp (never using disparaging language or engaging in gossip), and follow the biblical example of Matthew 18:15 by addressing any concerns with a person directly, before bringing the Executive Director into the conversation. *
