The Tall Timber Team
Dave has been a camper, volunteer, summer staffer, previous Assistant Property Manager, and now, after going to seminary at Regent College, working as a weekend manager at Plain Hardware, and serving as the Executive Director at Glacier Camp in Montana, has now been led to serve as Executive Director at Tall Timber. His lovely bride, Christie, and three beautiful children (Serenity, Micah and Kyler) love camping too. Say hi to Dave when you come visit and learn why Tall Timber and the work of summer camping is so near and dear to his heart.
Zachary was shaped profoundly by Christ through Tall Timber, a place he holds dear to his heart where he has been a camper, summer staffer, and now serves as our Assistant Director. He will be the one you meet when you want to book a retreat or register for Camp. He oversees the onsite operations at Camp and provides solid leadership for our staff. Please introduce yourself when you arrive and discover what a wonderful heart he has for serving. Ask about his wife Cassie or daughter Melanie and he won't be able to stop sharing the joy they bring to him.
//Director of Development
Stan has been at Tall Timber now in two capacities; formerly the Executive Director, he is now spending his days strengthening his current relationships and building new ones as he grows our partnerships with those that feel called to give to the powerful ministry of Camp at Tall Timber. He would love to hear your story and how you, or someone you know and love, has been shaped by Camp. Stan is married to Becky who has been enjoying being a grandma, now twice. Their kids (Aaron, Jessie and Nellie) still love Camp as it is in their blood.
Kelsey Ingham will be Carl's successor as Carl is moving on to work on the West side of the state. Kelsey will join the team on Dec. 13th. She comes to us from a Crista Camps with a great deal of experience. More on Kelsey in Mid-December.
Carl is now serving as our Program Director, and he's also worked as a summer staffer over the years. He is developing our Experiential Education curriculum which will feature sustainability and teaching about being good stewards of the planet we inhabit through experiences in our beautiful mountain setting (and future garden!). He hails from Knoxville, TN, where he grew up attending and working at Camp John Knox dating back to 2001. Carl is our lone bachelor on site, but seems to be keeping sane through his relationship with his beloved cat Lucy.
Sparrow Patterson will be our new Food Service Director. She starts on Dec. 13th. We will have an update on her story and a picture in Mid-December.
Steve has been a part of Tall Timber for most of his life as a camper, summer staffer, and now a full time employee. His passion for Tall Timber inspired him to get our captivating mountains tattooed on his forearm. Not only that, he got married to his beautiful bride, the lovely Sarah Sprouts, here onsite in November of 2016! Steve is always good for a laugh and brings a lot of joy and empathy to those he meets. If you're looking for a chuckle and a smile, say hi to Steve.
Cathi came to Tall Timber with a background in front office skills and bookkeeping. After high school, she graduated from Sierra College, a 2 year community college in California, with an AA degree in General Education. She then completed bookkeeping classes through another community college shortly after. When her daughters started school, she began work at an elementary school. Upon moving to Lake Wenatchee in 1992, she was employed at Schiebler Bros., but we snapped her up in 1993 and love the many ways she has served over the years!
Aaron "Fish" Fishburn
Aaron was born here, well just about, he was born in Leavenworth, but basically raised at Tall Timber by his pioneer spirited parents, Stan and Becky, who were the Directors from 1980 until 2015! Aaron loves his bride, the ever famous singer songwriter, Beth Whitney, their two children. There is always a spring in Aaron's step but even more so when he is on Tall Timber property. We love his joy and the creative solutions he comes up with to keep Camp functioning.
